Hunter's Dream
“The Hunter's Dream is an otherworldly replica of the original Hunter's Workshop, now called the Abandoned Old Workshop under the Healing Church Workshop. Created by Gehrman and the Moon Presence, the Hunter's Dream was originally intended as a way to ensure there were always hunters to fight the beasts. Gehrman eventually realized that the Dream was bound to his consciousness, with each requiring the existence of the other, and nearly went mad from the revelation of never dying yet serving an eternal cause.”
Gehrman, the First Hunter

“An elderly man bound to a wheelchair, Gehrman is a mysterious character who appears to act as the Hunter's guide throughout the game. Gehrman has shoulder-length, grey hair and wears a black hat along with a brown leather jacket and trousers, a tattered mantle and a scarf. He can always be seen bound to an ornate wheelchair and he carries a cane with him. Also, his right foot is missing, replaced by what appears to be a peg leg.”
Gehrman is one of the final bosses you face in the game. Normally found in a wheelchair, he becomes a formidable opponent. I kept the model as standard, as it was already a really cool model. I did add some white flowers to his base to match the location you fight him in the game.
Moon Presence

“An eldritch being composed of human flesh and bone, with the exception of its head. It is covered in dozens of tentacles, mainly in its head, where they resemble hair, and tail. Its body is mainly a large human spine and ribs. Moon Presence doesn't have a face, instead it only has a hole in its head. It's the Great One which created and rules over the Hunter's Dream.”
A secret final boss you can fight, the Moon Presence is a very interesting model. I really enjoyed this conversion. Normally hunched over on all fours, I wanted to lift up the body and have it reaching out. This exposed the underside of the ribs, so I added some fleshy texture to the inside of the body.
Winter Lanterns

“Winter Lanterns are grotesque nightmarish creatures with bulbous heads seemingly formed from the remains of Messengers. Under the mass of flesh, eyes, and maws that compose the Winter Lantern's head, it's possible to see a rather humanoid body with two arms and two legs: this body is dressed with a torn, bloodied version of the Doll Set with a long skirt and sleeves.”
These are rather creepy models, but fun to paint! The actual conversion was very simple, with just moving the tentacles on the side to a raised position on one of them.
Executioner

Hiding away in offbeaten paths and patrolling important areas, the Executioners rival the size of a Huntsman's Minion, but are doubtlessly a much larger threat. They wield a massive executioner's greataxe that they use with deadly efficiency and are one of the very few enemies to wear any sort of metal armor, though somewhat hidden from by its hood and cape.”
This model came in a pair, so I kept one as standard and had a great idea for the second one…
Nightmare Executioner

“Hulking brutes that wear the Executioner Garb, their heads are covered by hoods and their faces are obfuscated by a purple glowing haze, resembling the "cosmos" summoned by the Kin. From the haze sprouts a myriad of tendrils and tentacles.”
This is another form of the Executioner that you face in the DLC of the video game. I was excited by the opportunity to try and create one. The whole head, hood and upper cape was sculpted from scratch, and super happy with the result. I also made a new axe head to match what they hold, but this also mean swapping the orientation of the hands so he was holding it in the other direction.
The Doll

“The Doll was tenderly made by Gehrman as a means to keep him company and to also serve the many hunters that would come to the Hunter's Dream. The Doll is soft-spoken and polite. She holds the Hunter in high regards and treats the Hunter with deep respect. Having been made by humans, she loves the Hunter, but is unsure whether her affection is real or artificial; a thought she ponders incessantly.”
The Doll is an NPC you interact with regularly in the game as she enables you to level up. However for the board game she doesn’t have much of an effect. I just kept the models standard.
