The Hunters
A core part of the Bloodborne board game is the hunter you play as. As it determines the sort attacks you can choose to make. They provided two of each hunter to represent an invader you can fight against. However I decided it was an exciting opportunity to do some conversion work! I basically did a whole lot of weapon swapping between the different hunters to each a unique look for each one. And creates two versions of each type of hunter, allowing you to choose which to play as!
Saw Cleaver Hunter

"One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used in the hunting business. This saw, effective at drawing the blood of beasts, transforms into a long cleaver that makes use of centrifugal force.
The saw, with its set of blood-letting teeth, has become a symbol of the hunt, and only grows in effectiveness the more grotesquely transformed the beast."
The Saw Cleaver is such a unique weapon to Bloodborne, transforming between a close range saw to a longer reaching cutter.
I transferred the head and weapons to the body of the Rifle Spear Hunter, and extended the weapon out, positioning it in its transformed state.
Gehrman, the First Hunter

"Trick weapon wielded by Gehrman, the first hunter. A masterpiece that defined the entire array of weapons crafted at the workshop. Its blade is forged with siderite, said to have fallen from the heavens.
Gehrman surely saw the hunt as a dirge of farewell, wishing only that his prey might rest in peace, never again to awaken to another harrowing nightmare. "
The Burial Blade in it’s untransformed state, is just a curved blade, but always when transformed it’s an awesome scythe!
I feel like they didn’t do a great job with the standard hunter, however they had an actual enemy with the same armour, so I converted it to have the Burial Blade rather than a sword. Very happy with the result.
Blade of Mercy Hunter

"A special trick weapon passed down among hunters of hunters. One of the oldest weapons of the workshop.
Splits into two when activated. The weapon's warped blades are forged with siderite, a rare mineral of the heavens. Most effective swift attacks, such as after a quick-stepping."
The Blades of Mercy below to one of the well known NPCs, and even the armour they used does an excellent job of replicating Eileen the Crow. However I felt the pose was a bit flat, which makes sense because they had to deal with some very small daggers.
I took the model, cut off the cape, duplicated it, created more tassels, and found some other daggers to use. It was a lot of work, but I think she looks so much better!
Chikage Hunter

“Foreign-made weapon wielded by the royal guards who protect Annalise, Queen of the Vilebloods at Cainhurst Castle. When the intricate, rippled engraving that spans the Chikage's blade is imbrued with blood, the sword sings in scarlet hues.
However, the rite eats away at the wielder's very essence."
The Chikage is basicly a Katana, however it transformed state covers it in blood, slowly draining the users health, while dealing more damage.
For this conversion, I deiced I wanted to use the Lady Maria armour set to create a Lady Maria (an iconic boss) looking Hunter. So I gave her the Chikage, but I really converted it into a Rakuyo, an awesome sword and dagger combo weapon used by the character.
Logarius' Wheel Hunter

“Weapon wielded by martyr Logarius' band of executioners. Used to slaughter the Vilebloods in Cainhurst. Bathed in pools of their blood, and forever steeped in their ire.
Transform to release the power of the wheel and manifest their lingering rage in a show of utter brilliance."
This is one of the weapons you’d only really find in Bloodborne, it’s a giant wheel that you can wack enemies with and you can spin it to charge it up to do more damage (draining your blood).
For this conversion I had to remove the wheel from the back one guy and put it into a more attacking position for the new one. I did also have the find a spare hand from elsewhere to complete the model!
Kirkhammer Hunter

"A trick weapon typically used by Healing Church hunters. On the one side, an easily handled silver sword. On the other, a giant obtuse stone weapon, characterized by a blunt strike and extreme force of impact. The Church takes a heavy-handed, merciless stance toward the plague of beasts, an irony not lost upon the wielders of this most symbolic weapon."
This is a huge stone hammer, with a sword embedded inside. And you can transform it between those two weapons. I had originally done the conversion with the hammer resting on the shoulder, but her pose makes it look too casual. So I modified the conversion and used the transformed versions by having the sword out and the hammer strapped to her back.
Hunter's Axe Hunter

"One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used on the hunt. Retains the qualities of an axe, but offers a wider palette of attacks by transforming. Boasts a heavy blunt attack, leading to high rally potential. No matter their pasts, beasts are no more than beasts. Some choose this axe to play the part of executioner."
This axe can transform between being one handed and extending the handle for two hands. I decided to represent this in the conversion by making the two models holding it in these two different ways.
Reiterpallasch Hunter

"Weapon wielded by the Knights of Cainhurst. Combines an elegant knight's sword with the peculiar firearm wielded by the Cainhurst order.
The old nobles, long-time imbibers of blood, are no strangers to the sanguine plague, and the disposal of beasts was a discrete task left to their servants, or knights, as they were called for the sake of appearances."
This was another set of armour with an enemy counter part. So with a little repose and weapon swap, I make the enemy model into one of the hunters.
Stake Driver Hunter

"A trick weapon fashioned by the workshop heretics, the Powder Kegs. Favored by the retired hunter Djura. The stake driver, with its queerly complex design, violently drives thick stakes into the flesh of foes.
The stake driver allows for high-damage critical attacks, but is difficult to use and leaves its wielder wide open, but none of this should bother a mere Powder Keg."
A cool weapon that by transforming you charge up a blast plunging forward with the stake. The challenge of this conversion was reconstructing the shoulder of the hunter because I had to remove a greatsword from her back to get the conversion to work. It also allowed me to raise up the arm so she was aiming with the gun.
Tonitrus Hunter

"A unique trick weapon contrived by Archibald, the infamous eccentric of the Healing Church workshop. Striking this peculiar iron morning star flail like a match generates the same blue sparks that blanket a darkbeast.
Unfortunately, for reasons untold, the hunters of Archibald's time did not fully take to the device."
An electric weapon! So I had to make sure I painted some sparks on it. The conversion was very simple though, as all I had to do was add the mace.
Threaded Cane Hunter

"One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used by hunters on their duties. Sufficiently deadly as a rigid bladed cane, but also serves as a whip when its blade is split into many. Concealing the weapon inside the cane and flogging the beasts with the whip is partly an act of ceremony, an attempt to demonstrate to oneself that the bloodlust of the hunt will never encroach upon the soul."
One of the challenges of this conversions was to extract the cannon, and partly reconstruct it because it was covered by the original models body.
Ludwig's Uncanny Holy Blade Hunter

"A trick weapon typically used by Healing Church Hunters. It is said that the silver sword was employed by Ludwig, the first hunter of the church. When transformed, it combines with its sheath to form a greatsword.
It exhibits several departures from the workshop's design, suggesting that the Church anticipated much larger inhuman beasts."
This is an ‘Uncanny’ version of the weapon, which simple mean it has different rune slots. Which doesn’t impact too much about the weapon itself. This character has the weapon in it’s untransformed state. With the sword out and the sheath/greatsword strapped to their back. The conversion was fairly straight forward with just some weapon swaps and a head swap.
Ludwig's Holy Blade/Holy Moonlight Greatsword Hunter

"An arcane sword discovered long ago by Ludwig. When blue moonlight dances around the sword, and it channels the abyssal cosmos, its great blade will hurl a shadowy lightwave.
The Holy Moonlight Sword is synonymous with Ludwig, the Holy Blade, but few have ever set eyes on the great blade, and whatever guidance it has to offer, it seems to be of a very private, elusive sort."
I have not yet complete the conversion, but I plan to make the alternate version a representation of the Holy Moonlight Greatsword.
Beast Claw Hunter

"Beastly weapon wielded by Irreverent Izzy. Crafted by chiseling the long bones of an undead darkbeast and fastening them to the weapon. The bones are still alive, and when unleashed, grant its wielder a spurt of beastly power.
As flesh is flayed and blood is sprayed, the beast within awakens, and in time, the wielder of this weapon surges with both strength and feverish reverie."
The Beast Claws are a weapon that partly transform the hunter into a beast, increasing the damage you deal, but also the damage you take.
I have not yet done a conversion for this model, as I have some plans for it that have not quite worked out yet.
