New Zealand 2021
During a 2021 trip to New Zealand's central South Island, I was amazed by the beauty of the mountains and countryside. The tranquil lakes, snowcapped mountains and glittering stars were perfect for capturing some amazing shots. It’s been one of my favorite spots and would love to visit there again.
Timelapse Video
I always love making timelapse videos, and here’s the one I created from my NZ trip. This was the first time I was intentionally just getting photos and timelapses rather than videos as well. And I really enjoyed the trip!
Lake Tekapo
Lake Tekapo has been one of my favorite places to visit, just a small little town by the lake in the central South Island of NZ. But it’s just such a nice peaceful environment, with snowcapped mountains on the horizon. I was lucky enough to be there for the first snow of the year and it allowed me to capture some beautiful photos, especially as it half melted away. It also created an absolutely clear night for some amazing star photography!
Aoraki / Mount Cook
My other favorite place of the trip was Aoraki/Mount Cook, it’s a stunning mountain that looms in the distance for a while as you slowly get closer. I was again super lucky with the weather and has some clear skies to get some awesome photos of the mountain. It was also a cool place to explore and go on a few of the hikes.
Milford Sound
I had plans to capture a sunset at Milford Sound, so when I found out it was going to be pretty overcast, I was disappointed. It was still a really cool drive up there and I enjoyed the boat ride, but wasn’t sure how it’d all turn out. But then going back through the photos I came across the panorama of the boat in the middle of the Sound!
