Photography 2022

General Trips

In 2022, I had the opportunity to explore and photograph some amazing places. Among them were Daggs Falls, Gold Creek Reservoir and Cedar Creek as well as being able to capture the moon rising over the city!

Moonrise over Brisbane

Capturing the full moon rising behind the city from Mt Coot-tha was a cool experience. I was able to experiment with a different timelapse technique, using two separate cameras to capture the moon. It was a great opportunity to showcase the beauty of the full moon and the city's skyline. The resulting timelapse is quite interesting, but I’ll have to experiment some more to perfect it.

February Floods

Back in Feburary 2021, Brisbane had some terrible flooding. After the rain had settled, I went out to capture some of the impact of this flood. It’s crazy to see places normally well above the river level completely under.

Lismore

I have some friends who live on a farm down near Lismore, so I visited them for the weekend. Taking my camera with me, I wandered around capturing some interesting things I found around the farm.
I especially enjoyed being able to set up my camera for a timelapse of the stars without having to worry about it!

Caloundra

Our family always visits Caloundra for an annual family holiday. I often use it as an opportunity to capture some cool shots of the sunsets and animals along the coastline. I even got some of the sunrise this time!

Return to Cathedral Rocks

During a trip with some friends down to Wollongong, I took the opportunity to revisit Cathedral Rocks. Despite the overcast weather, it was still amazing to see the rock formations again. I explored the area and was able to capture some great shots of the waves crashing against the rocks.
